Diversity, Sustainability and Community

Respecting Human Rights

We must respect, and work to, uphold and advance human rights in everything that we do. We acknowledge that our activities have the potential to impact human rights and we manage this through our core business practices.

Preventing and addressing our own involvement in modern slavery is central to our sustainability approach including our commitment to running a safe, responsible and profitable business.

We set clear expectations that our employees and suppliers (including contractors and agents) should be alert to possible involvement in modern slavery and should work to prevent and address it.

We know that adopting high standards is not enough. Knowledge sharing, such as targeted training programmes for employees, and action, including mitigation measures where we see a risk of involvement, are vital to ensure our work stays effective.

Importation

Ecco Pacific Australia actively source and import global leading brands for the Australian market, specifically in hardware, data, or electronic sectors.

We have strong import networks across the globe including China, US, India, Taiwan, Italy, Germany, Thailand, Malaysia, Belgium and South Korea.

We take great pride in always maintaining full compliance with all import laws and regulations.

Sustainability

Ecco Pacific has also set a 24-month initiative to meet 2025 packaging covenants commitments for ecological sustainable packaging. This involves setting an ambitious target of 25% reduction in packaging waste within the business.

Recruitment, Training and Community

We strive for Diversity and Inclusion Best Practice in all our internal Recruitment practices.

Whilst increased gender diversity is a key priority for Ecco Pacific, the principles we set out apply to all types of diversity – it’s about recruiting ‘with a wide angle lens’ for all aspects of diversity.

It is not just about our hiring process but also creating fair and inclusive workplace.

We support a range of important community fund-raising projects each year including:

  • RU Okay Day
  • Australia’s Largest Morning Tea – Australian Cancer Council
